Saratoga Springs Summer Wedding beneath the Redwoods: Dani + Adam

Dani and Adam had a fairytale wedding full of romance tucked beneath the redwoods in central coast California at Saratoga Springs. Capturing their wedding day, from getting ready at the beautiful Cupertino Hyatt to the adventures on the party bus to the Holy Spirit Church of San Jose to the dazzling atmosphere of dancing beneath the redwoods at Saratoga Springs, was what photographers dreams are made of!

Dani and Adam go wayyyy back, but they didn’t officially meet until they were both teaching at the same high school. However, their families had already known each other, and their fathers even coached together. After their engagement in 2019, they had to put their dream wedding on hold, so finally, three years later, they had their fairytale wedding.

The day began with Dani and her amazing bridal squad (who willingly moved furniture around, altered dresses, and beamed for their amazing friend) getting ready at the hotel. And, since I had already photographed her brother’s wedding, I got to reconnect with his wife and meet their little one. While I rocked out with the gals, my husband snapped the guys re-creating the famous “Rat Pack” pool table photo in the reception area.

After a tear-jerking first look with Dani’s dad, brothers, and nephew, it was time to get married! The San Jose Holy Spirit Church set a lovely backdrop for the two to say “I do” and is also Dani’s grandmother’s church, so it holds a special place in the family.

The party bus to Saratoga Springs was full of incredible dance moves in preparation for what was to come. The venue was surrounded by redwoods, creeks, and stunning stone bridges. Family and friends played cornhole and enjoyed the delicious appetizers made by the bride’s family’s catering company, Zanotto’s.

After their grand entrance, the two beaming newlyweds led right into their first dance. Every one of their friends and family was smiling as they watched.

After a series of witty toasts and an adorable cake cutting, the dance party started. I had seen moves even new to me as a seasoned wedding pro. Impressive! My favorite moment was when Dani and Adam were hoisted up on chairs above the crowd. This crowd knew how to party!
