Back in the spring, two good friends and fellow bird nerds, announced their engagement. For our photo shoot, we raced the setting sun to Vermillion Lighthouse in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Aside from their mutual love for feathered creatures, these two lovebirds have a zest for life that will follow them into the days of worn, graying plumages.

Birding with Lauren and David is one of the highlights of my field experiences. So glad they share the passion, I love to see love and the fact that they both adore nature is such a plus. May they live the longest happiest life together.
